Thank you to all the ChocolateFest visitors and volunteers on Memorial Day who participated in “Community Impact Day” for Love, Inc. Festival goers were greeted at the entrance gates by enthusiastic teams of volunteers collecting admissions that went towards $5,000 for the Love, Inc. Food Pantry Program. This much appreciated funding will help provide an entire month’s worth of food for our pantry shelves and refrigerators.
In addition to being a celebration of all things chocolate, ChocolateFest’s Community Impact Day is a unique opportunity for our community to come together and show we care enough to make a difference in our hometown.
Gate attendants were also selling blue wrist bands at the gates throughout the day for $5 each that made an even bigger difference in funding food items for our pantry. These awareness wrist bands will continue to be available for purchase while supplies last at Love, Inc. Thrift Stores to help celebrate our organization’s 35th anniversary in June.
